Jorge de Azevedo might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Werner Gjettermann. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jorge de Azevedo ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anselmo Moraes got free with Werner Gjettermann in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Luiz Gustavo Urbano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Silas Vander fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Spinach the Sailor's protests and gave Silas Vander a yellow card for diving instead. Silas Vander hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. A collision led to Spinach the Sailor getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Luiz Gustavo Urbano hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Spinach the Sailor's goalkeeper Werner Gjettermann, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luiz Gustavo Urbano struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Vítor Recife didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Spinach the Sailor. Anselmo Moraess short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Werner Gjettermann to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Vítor Guerra scored 1-0 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Werner Gjettermann, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ituano's Anselmo Moraes was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 39th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After 42 played minutes Ituano got a freekick which was hit by Jorge de Azevedo. 43 minutes into the match, Ituano's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Gustavo Urbano came free, but Vítor Recife reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 45 minutes, Anselmo Moraes made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Spinach the Sailor's Werner Gjettermann tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luiz Gustavo Urbano was the one to do the kick off. Vítor Recife came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Spinach the Sailor's Mathias Félix. But to his dismay, Mathias Félix quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Anselmo Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Werner Gjettermann having to interfere. Jorge de Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Werner Gjettermann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ituano. Spinach the Sailor's Werner Gjettermann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo Moraes in the 65th minute of play. Anselmo Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 76th minute, Luiz Gustavo Urbano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Miguel Pontes kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Vítor Recife made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mathias Félix in the 80th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Spinach the Sailor's zone, Anselmo Moraes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Werner Gjettermann came out of the goal and Anselmo Moraes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 86th minute Anselmo Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Werner Gjettermann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Anselmo Moraes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Werner Gjettermann was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Jorge de Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ituano's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorge de Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Werner Gjettermann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Jorge de Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Enéas Velloso fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Spinach the Sailor's protests and gave Enéas Velloso a yellow card for diving instead. Enéas Velloso hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. After having played for 95 minutes, Jorge de Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ituano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge de Azevedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There was no doubt that Ituano were the better team. Ituano's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
