Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Décio Salgado to make the kick off. Alexsandro Hermes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Luís Fabiano de Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matheus Vaz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Júnior Couto hit a great ball. Luís Fabiano de Azevedo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Décio Salgado showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 81 minute of play. In the 86th minute, Osmar Falcão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexsandro Hermes got free with Luís Fabiano de Azevedo in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alexsandro Hermes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luís Fabiano de Azevedo having to make a save. Décio Salgado struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Luís Fabiano de Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal.
