The Jucatan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elano Maia should have stopped the shot. Elano Maia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Fernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Márcio Massa in the 36th minute of play forced Jucatan's goalkeeper Elano Maia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elano Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Cordeiro in the 39th minute of play. Kaká Queiroz struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Tostão do Valle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jucatan. Elano Maia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Márcio Massa in the 58th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonas Fernandez got free with Elano Maia in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Jucatan's Elano Maia got control of the ball when Jonas Fernandez tried to sneak it across the goal line. 63 minutes into the game, Yuri Ceresso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. When Pedro Luís Teixeira fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jundiahy AD's protests and gave Pedro Luís Teixeira a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Jucatan booed when Jundiahy AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Luís Teixeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jefferson Garcia hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Elano Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ian Moraes in the 75th minute of play. Elano Maia was a little too slow when Nelsinho Bezerra got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 77th minute. The score was now 0-3. Jonas Fernandez succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-4 in the 80th playminute. The crowd rose to their feet as Jundiahy AD's Márcio Massa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Elano Maia. That made the score 0-5 after 84 minutes of play.
