Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kaká Queiroz in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Gustavo Correia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Elano Maia made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Jonas Sá sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice moves Jonas Sá could shoot a difficult shot in the 27th minute, which Elano Maia however easily saved by the left post. In the 29th minute, Kaká Queiroz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonas Sá hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After 31 minutes, Aníbal Quadros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Décio Salgado was the one to do the kick off. Elano Maia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Décio Salgado in the 60th minute of the match.
