Luiz Fabiano Salgado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zé Carlos Lucas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Willian Chaves, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After a rather tough play, Monreal FC's Artur Salgado got a free kick in the 14th minute. Zé Carlos Lucas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Alagoano in the 17th minute of play. Juan Baiano's late challenge caught a Los Grandes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juan Baiano helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Monreal FC's Juan Baiano got a free kick in the 19th minute. Zé Carlos Lucas came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Los Grandes's Elivélton Borges. But to his dismay, Elivélton Borges quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Zé Carlos Lucas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jardel França, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Willian Chaves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Carlos Lucas having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Willian Chaves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zé Carlos Lucas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willian Chaves in the 36th minute of play forced Monreal FC's goalkeeper Zé Carlos Lucas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40thth minute of the game Elivélton Borges who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Monreal FC's Zé Carlos Lucas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Willian Chaves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 46th minute, Juan Baiano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Willian Chaves to strike the kick off in the second half. Elivélton Borges struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Zé Carlos Lucas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Grandes. Luiz Fabiano Salgado charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luiz Fabiano Salgado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 56th match minute, Monreal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fabiano Salgado to maneuver through the defense. When Cícero Paranaense fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Monreal FC's protests and gave Cícero Paranaense a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Monreal FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 69th minute. Penalty! The corner ended in Rômulo Rossi almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Monreal FC's Zé Carlos Lucas did a great save. After 75 played minutes Monreal FC got a freekick which was hit by Ademir Cerezo. When the final whistle sounded Los Grandes left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Monreal FC.
