Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jaime Falcão to make the kick off. In the 61stth minute of the game Jaime Falcão who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Amapari's Nicolas Cosme was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 78 played minutes, Amapari's Nilmar Pirani shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Laerte Pinho came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Amapari reached it. Claudinei Paulista hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. If Charles Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marquinhos Valle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Laerte Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amapari walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
