In the 18th match minute, Falcon fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albertinho Pernambucano to maneuver through the defense. When Duda Zonta fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Falcon fc's protests and gave Duda Zonta a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Falcon fc's Duda Zonta got a free kick in the 27th minute. After 32 minutes, Nestor Mazza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Falcon fc and the Vasco Da Gama players grew even worse after the yellow card. Valdir Braga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Falcon fc's Wellington Pimenta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Didi de Lima in the 81st minute of play. Edgard Marinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Wellington Pimenta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Vasco Da Gama players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Falcon fc from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
