If Didi de Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo José Matorin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Marinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Valdir Braga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikael Lingren in the 42nd minute of play. 43 minutes into the game, Mogi FC - DMZ-'s Mikael Lingren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valdir Braga made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. When Mikael Lingren came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Mogi FC - DMZ- fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mikael Lingren couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgard Marinho was the one to do the kick off. Paulo José Matorin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgard Marinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tadeu Oliveira hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. After 57 played minutes Mogi FC - DMZ- got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Geromel. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Desire Castruita during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
