José Maria Freire hit a great ball. 50 minutes into the match, Tricolor Fc's goalkeeper Manoel Pirani had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cafu Novaes.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Evaristo de Mendonça to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Araguainha EC's goal looked a bit too open when Evaristo de Mendonça came free, but Ramón Veloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
