The audience thought a goal was coming when Duda Zonta got free with Ramón Veloso in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Duda Zonta during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Edgard Rosado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 83 played minutes, Falcon fc's Nestor Mazza shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ramón Veloso came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Falcon fc reached it. In the 84th minute, Cafu Novaes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Edgard Rosado dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ramón Veloso, 2-4. In a very dangerous position, a player in Araguainha EC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 89th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 91 minutes, Falcon fc's Nestor Mazza got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ramón Veloso. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Falcon fc eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
