The referee ignored Exu's protests and gave Chiquinho Maia a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Exu's Chiquinho Maia got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 14thth minute of the game Raul Malvin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Exu's Marcos Cabral was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jeremias Gonçalves scored 1-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anselmo das Neves, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Carlos Eduardo Peres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marcos Cabral didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Internazionale's Raul Malvin shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-1 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 86th minute, Joaquín Ibañez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Cabral was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-1. Diego Deunoro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Marcos Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 98th minute, Diego Deunoro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Internazionale fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Internazionale fully deserved thier win.
