After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, João Pedro Palmeira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maraja's supporters rose to their feet, but João Pedro Palmeira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Remo do Vale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Remo do Vale didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 12th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 29th minute, João Pedro Palmeira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Remo do Vale stood somewhat misplaced when João Pedro Palmeira came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 31 minute. Tony de Salles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sílvio Valle stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. João Pedro Palmeira took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Remo do Vale. Remo do Vale dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Filipe Netto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Haroldo Furlan in the 55th minute. After 61 minutes of play, Maraja's João Pedro Palmeira made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Remo do Vale was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tony de Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remo do Vale having to interfere. Filipe Netto didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 68th minute, which inside left pole to 4-1. In the 72nd minute of the game, Albertinho Vasconcelos landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Edgard Corrêa's late challenge caught a Maraja's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgard Corrêa helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Lagarto getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Edgard Corrêa hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Haroldo Furlan got free with Filipe Netto in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Betão Vergílio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute, João Pedro Palmeira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Haroldo Furlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Pedro Palmeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute, Nando Urbano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olavo Leal kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Maraja fully deserved thier win.
