The audience was convinced that Geovanni dos Santos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Charles da Costa was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Valdo Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Geovanni dos Santos put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Charles da Costa. Zé Roberto Silveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guerreiros da Bola FC's Kléber do Nascimento got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 40 minutes into the match, Guerreiros da Bola FC's Geovanni dos Santos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Charles da Costa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Kléber do Nascimento came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Guerreiros da Bola FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kléber do Nascimento couldn't finish the play. Natã Meireles was out of position in the 43 minute of play, and Waldir Teixeira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Waldir Teixeira really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Geovanni dos Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 54th minute, Guerreiros da Bola FC's Geovanni dos Santos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Charles da Costa. Charles da Costa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Charles da Costa was a little too slow when Geovanni dos Santos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 1-3. 60 minutes into the match, Kléber do Nascimento had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Charles da Costa. Ubaieira's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kléber do Nascimento was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Geovanni dos Santos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Charles da Costa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Guerreiros da Bola FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Remo Rezende in the 70th minute. Remo Rezende made a great header on Guerreiros da Bola FC's corner, it was just that Ubaieira's Charles da Costa managed to reach the ball for a save. Geovanni dos Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 78 minutes of play, Guerreiros da Bola FC's Geovanni dos Santos made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Charles da Costa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Geovanni dos Santos might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Charles da Costa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Geovanni dos Santos ran back to his position shaking his head. If Waldir Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Charles da Costa managed to avoid a goal in the 95thth minute, when Guerreiros da Bola FC's Geovanni dos Santos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the final whistle sounded Guerreiros da Bola FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ubaieira.
