Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Caras's Luís Gustavo Reis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Luís Gustavo Reis came free with the goalkeeper in the 6th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Raúl Camargo could save by the left post. Luís Gustavo Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raúl Camargo having to interfere. Sílvio Cardozo kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Francisco Amaral hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Raúl Camargo made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Luís Gustavo Reis sent off a good shot on target. In the 21st minute Nildo Teles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elói Terra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Caras's Francisco Amaral got a free kick in the 22nd minute. When Nildo Teles came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Methos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nildo Teles couldn't finish the play. In the 27th minute Nildo Teles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elói Terra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Caras's goal looked a bit too open when Nildo Teles came free, but Elói Terra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Gustavo Reis might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Raúl Camargo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luís Gustavo Reis ran back to his position shaking his head. Francisco Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Raúl Camargo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carlos Mandrak made a kick off. Carlos Mandrak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Elói Terra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dadá Massa kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Carlos Mandrak was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 58th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Elói Terra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nildo Teles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luís Gustavo Reis struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Raúl Camargo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caras. Luís Gustavo Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raúl Camargo having to interfere. After 68 minutes, Francisco Amaral mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caras and the Methos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 69 played minutes, Methos FC's Carlos Mandrak shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Elói Terra came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Methos FC reached it. Luís Gustavo Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 75 played minutes Caras got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Amaral. If Nildo Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Gustavo Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raúl Camargo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Gustavo Reis in the 84th minute of play forced Methos FC's goalkeeper Raúl Camargo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raúl Camargo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaltino Montenegro in the 86th minute of play. Despite being the better team, Caras failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
