Spectators: 7443 (Terracing: 5583, Seating: 1712, VIP seats: 148) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Carlos Mandrak started the match with the kick off. Mané Mangueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Raúl Camargo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mané Mangueira in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raúl Camargo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Matías do Vale hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. When Vitinho Garcia came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Goiânia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vitinho Garcia couldn't finish the play. Raúl Camargo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mané Mangueira in the 8th minute of play. When Mané Mangueira came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Goiânia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mané Mangueira couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Methos FC's zone, Vitinho Garcia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raúl Camargo came out of the goal and Vitinho Garcia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Raúl Camargo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mané Mangueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After having played for 17 minutes, Róbson Siqueira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Methos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Róbson Siqueira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos Mandraks short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Romário Meira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Raúl Camargo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vitinho Garcia in the 20th minute of the match. Carlos Mandrak scored 1-0 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Romário Meira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Methos FC's Raúl Camargo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitinho Garcia in the 28th minute of play. If Simão Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 31st minute, Simão Queirós made a precise shot to the right of Raúl Camargo. Methos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vitinho Garcia to strike the kick off in the second half. Raúl Camargo made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Mané Mangueira sent off a good shot on target. Goiânia FC were awarded a corner in the 84th minute after Methos FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vitinho Garcia took the corner. After 87 minutes of play Methos FC's Nildo Teles was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Nildo Teles hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 90th minute, Vitinho Garcia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Goiânia FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Raúl Camargo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vitinho Garcia in the 95th minute of the match. In the 97th minute Vitinho Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raúl Camargo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Goiânia FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
