Caras's Elói Terra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Caras from getting a goal against them. When Isaltino Montenegro fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caras's protests and gave Isaltino Montenegro a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Caras getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Isaltino Montenegro hit a great ball. Caras's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Guilherme Bezerra scored to the left of an out of position Elói Terra, making the score, 2-1. 34 minutes into the game, Caratateua SC's Zé Carlos Trancoso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elói Terra made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Elói Terra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guilherme Bezerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Francisco Amaral hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. When Zé Carlos Trancoso came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Caratateua SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Carlos Trancoso couldn't finish the play. Elói Terra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guilherme Bezerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 44th play minute Zé Carlos Trancoso came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Elói Terra. 4-1.

Elói Terra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilton Alagoano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 52 minutes into the match, Caras's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Carlos Trancoso came free, but Elói Terra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Carlos Trancoso in the 54th minute of play forced Caras's goalkeeper Elói Terra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caras's Elói Terra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guilherme Bezerra in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Zé Carlos Trancoso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elói Terra was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. After 63 minutes, Wilton Alagoano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caratateua SC and the Caras players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 63 played minutes Caratateua SC got a freekick which was hit by Wilton Alagoano. 66 minutes into the match, Guilherme Bezerra had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elói Terra. Caras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guilherme Bezerra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. In the 70th minute Zé Carlos Trancoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elói Terra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute, Dadá Massa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caras's Elói Terra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guilherme Bezerra in the 72nd minute of play. Zé Carlos Trancoso struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Elói Terra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Caras's zone, Wilton Alagoano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elói Terra came out of the goal and Wilton Alagoano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Caras's Elói Terra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Carlos Trancoso in the 87th minute of play. The supporters of Caratateua SC booed when Caras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaltino Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute Guilherme Bezerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elói Terra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute, Zé Carlos Trancoso made a precise shot to the right of Elói Terra. Caras's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-2. Luís Gustavo Reis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Simão Cardozo made a huge save. Pedrão Souza hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match.
