In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Real Juventude FC's goalkeeper Renan Albuquerque, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simão Queirós in the 13th minute of play forced Real Juventude FC's goalkeeper Renan Albuquerque to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Real Juventude FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vitinho Garcia came free, but Renan Albuquerque reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Renan Albuquerque made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Mané Mangueira sent off a good shot on target. In the 36th minute Goiânia FC were awarded a corner. Vitinho Garcia went to the cornerflag to take it. Goiânia FC's Vitinho Garcia was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Renan Albuquerque in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Nuno Maia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Renan Albuquerque made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Vitinho Garcia kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Renan Albuquerque. That made the score 2-0 in the 38 minute of play. The supporters of Real Juventude FC booed when Goiânia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nuno Maia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Real Juventude FC's zone, Simão Queirós stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Renan Albuquerque came out of the goal and Simão Queirós tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vitinho Garcia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, Simão Queirós cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Renan Albuquerque was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Mané Mangueira came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Goiânia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mané Mangueira couldn't finish the play. Renan Albuquerque showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mané Mangueira in the 60th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitinho Garcia in the 65th minute of play forced Real Juventude FC's goalkeeper Renan Albuquerque to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Real Juventude FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nuno Maia came free, but Renan Albuquerque reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 69 minutes into the game, Goiânia FC's Vitinho Garcia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Renan Albuquerque came out of the goal and Vitinho Garcia tried to chip the ball over his head. Renan Albuquerque was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
