After 11 minutes of play Cedrolina SC's Osvaldo Coutinho was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Gugu Paulista took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Artur Paraense. Cedrolina SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Zé Carlos Lima in the 16th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Cedrolina SC's Isaltino Alves. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Dino Goiano put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Benê Aguiar. Benê Aguiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dino Goiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Geovânio Simões charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Geovânio Simões the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.

The wind increased when Delfim Vinhas made the kick off in the second half. Benê Aguiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dino Goiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Waldir Cavalcante struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Benê Aguiar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cedrolina SC. Iuri Dantas kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Dino Goiano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cedrolina SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 72nd minute, Dino Goiano fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Benê Aguiar, passed just outside the right post. If Dino Goiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cedrolina SC played a much better game than Delta FC and deserved their victory. The Delta FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
