Tião Nunes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cesinha Esteves in the 4th minute. In the 6th match minute, Jacus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André de Sousa to maneuver through the defense. Tião Nunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dino Goiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the game, Cedrolina SC's Dino Goiano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tião Nunes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Breno Barral during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The nice shot from Cesinha Esteves in the 24thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Tião Nunes had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Breno Barral was shown his second yellow card after 26 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Jacus's Breno Barral got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute, Alessandro Carioca sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Jacus's Tião Nunes didn't even have to move. Dadá Donato hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. If Cesinha Esteves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Válter Mota kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Tião Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murillo Fernandes in the 41st minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cesinha Esteves to make the kick off. Cedrolina SC's Dino Goiano got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tião Nunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cesinha Esteves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacus's Tião Nunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesinha Esteves in the 57th minute of play. 60 minutes into the game, André de Sousa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jacus's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cedrolina SC the free kick. After 60 played minutes Jacus got a freekick which was hit by André de Sousa. Tião Nunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cesinha Esteves in the 63rd minute of the match. Tião Nunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesinha Esteves, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Cesinha Esteves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tião Nunes. Jacus's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cesinha Esteves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 72nd minute Cesinha Esteves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tião Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cedrolina SC's goalkeeper Artur Paraense, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 76 minutes into the game, Leopoldo Macedo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cedrolina SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jacus the free kick. In the 82nd minute there was a penalty for Cedrolina SC. Alessandro Carioca stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Tião Nunes. 3-0. Tião Nunes came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Cedrolina SC's Dino Goiano. But to his dismay, Dino Goiano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Jacus's Tião Nunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesinha Esteves in the 88th minute of play. After some careless play in the Jacus defense, Cesinha Esteves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tião Nunes. The Jacus fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tião Nunes should have stopped the shot. Murillo Fernandes struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Tião Nunes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cedrolina SC. When Isaltino Alves came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Cedrolina SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isaltino Alves couldn't finish the play. Dino Goiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cedrolina SC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
