Luiz Fonseca's late challenge caught a Turma do Funil's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luiz Fonseca helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Turma do Funil booed when Cachaça EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frédson Peres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Celso Sanches showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Otávio Prestes in the 19th minute of the match. Celso Sanches showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franklin Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After 23rd play minutes Franklin Silva shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Celso Sanches and just under the crossbar into goal. If Luiz Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Turma do Funil's Frédson Peres got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Celso Sanches made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franklin Silva in the 37th minute of play. Turma do Funil's Celso Sanches played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otávio Prestes in the 39th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Turma do Funil's Adelino Gerber got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 41st minute Otávio Prestes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Sanches saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute, Jardel Cardozo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Celso Sanches showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Otávio Prestes in the 47th minute of the match. Franklin Silva took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Celso Sanches. Celso Sanches dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Franklin Silva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Celso Sanches was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Franklin Silva showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 54 minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Turma do Funil's goalkeeper Celso Sanches had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Otávio Prestes. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Frédson Peres during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 71st minute of the match, Otávio Prestes got a very nice opportunity to score, but Celso Sanches was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Frédson Peres hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Franklin Silva in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Celso Sanches prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arí Barbosa in the 74th minute of play forced Cachaça EC's goalkeeper Anselmo Garcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st match minute, Cachaça EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro França to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute, Zé Roberto Custódio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 92 minutes into the match, Luiz Fonseca dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Celso Sanches, 1-6. A collision led to Turma do Funil getting a freekick after 100 minutes play. Jardel Cardozo hit a great ball. Cachaça EC's Tostão Gerber couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 101st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Turma do Funil. Cachaça EC played a much better game than Turma do Funil and deserved their victory. The Turma do Funil players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
