Capinas AD's defense didn't have a chance, in the 2nd minute, when Oswaldo Porto scored to the left of an out of position Bruninho Macedo, making the score, 1-0. Natã Melo kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 6th match minute, Capinas AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Sabóia to maneuver through the defense. Mané Ramalho made in the 8th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Oswaldo Porto. Emanuel Sabóia got his second yellow card in the match during the 10th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Capinas AD's Emanuel Sabóia got a free kick in the 10th minute. After a defensive mix-up in ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ's zone, Hernani Rodrigues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gil do Valle came out of the goal and Hernani Rodrigues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 19 played minutes Capinas AD got a freekick which was hit by Enio Valadares. In the 21stth minute of the game Hernani Rodrigues who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ's Gil do Valle was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 23rd minute Felipe Simão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruninho Macedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ's goal looked a bit too open when Hernani Rodrigues came free, but Gil do Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruninho Macedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juvenal Corrêa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Simão in the 31st minute of play forced Capinas AD's goalkeeper Bruninho Macedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Hamílton Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruninho Macedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Simão, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Gil do Valle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernani Rodrigues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hernani Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Gil do Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Capinas AD were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oswaldo Porto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bruninho Macedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juvenal Corrêa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juvenal Corrêa took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bruninho Macedo. Bruninho Macedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. After 66 played minutes Capinas AD got a freekick which was hit by Durval Mattos. 67 minutes into the match, Juvenal Corrêa notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Capinas AD's Bruninho Macedo. Bruninho Macedo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 70 minutes, Hernani Rodrigues managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Capinas AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hernani Rodrigues was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ's zone, Hernani Rodrigues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gil do Valle came out of the goal and Hernani Rodrigues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th minute, Duda Peixoto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ defense, Hernani Rodrigues kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gil do Valle. The ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gil do Valle should have stopped the shot. Hernani Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Gil do Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Duda Peixoto charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Duda Peixoto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ's Duda Peixoto got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Hernani Rodrigues might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gil do Valle. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hernani Rodrigues ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Flavinho Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Capinas AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Flavinho Alves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gil do Valle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Durval Mattos took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gil do Valle. Gil do Valle dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-4. In a very dangerous position, a player in Capinas AD fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 90th minute. Penalty! Tião Braga walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. A sloppy throw-in by Juvenal Pires in the 94th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Capinas AD's Enio Valadares.
