Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Almir Brito started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Doni Mangueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arí Barbosa in the 5th minute of the match. In the 6th minute, Oswaldo Coutinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Celso Sanches stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Almir Brito's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. In the 10th minute Almir Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Sanches saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Almir Brito took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Celso Sanches to make any attempt to save it. Thanks to some nice moves Ernani Ramalho could shoot a difficult shot in the 14th minute, which Celso Sanches however easily saved by the left post. After 16 minutes, Ernani Ramalho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maracaja and the Turma do Funil players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Maracaja getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Ernani Ramalho hit a great ball. Frédson Peres hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Turma do Funil's zone, Ernani Ramalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celso Sanches came out of the goal and Ernani Ramalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernani Ramalho got free with Celso Sanches in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 26 minutes of play, Maracaja's Ernani Ramalho made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Celso Sanches was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Turma do Funil's Luiz Fábio Viana got a free kick in the 28th minute. Celso Sanches was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Délio Palmeira. Celso Sanches showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Almir Brito in the 30th minute of the match. After 31 played minutes Turma do Funil got a freekick which was hit by Frédson Peres. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Almir Brito in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Celso Sanches prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 39th minute, Maracaja's Almir Brito dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. When Arí Barbosa fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Turma do Funil's protests and gave Arí Barbosa a yellow card for diving instead. Arí Barbosa hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute of the match, Almir Brito tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Celso Sanches saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arí Barbosa was the one to do the kick off. Celso Sanches didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ernani Ramalho went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. 59 minutes into the game, Ernani Ramalho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Celso Sanches was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ernani Ramalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 67 minutes into the match, Turma do Funil's goal looked a bit too open when Almir Brito came free, but Celso Sanches reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Turma do Funil getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Frédson Peres hit a great ball. Cristóvão Simões kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, Ernani Ramalho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Celso Sanches was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. Percy de Carvalho's late challenge caught a Turma do Funil's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Percy de Carvalho helped the player get up and apologised. 78 minutes into the match, Turma do Funil's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Cunha came free, but Celso Sanches reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Almir Brito might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Celso Sanches. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Almir Brito ran back to his position shaking his head. 84 minutes into the game, Alessandro Baptista cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-0. Celso Sanches was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Maracaja's Oswaldo Coutinho got a free kick in the 87th minute. A collision led to Maracaja getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Oswaldo Coutinho hit a great ball. In the 95th minute, Benjamin Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
