Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dieguinho de Azevedo took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 5 played minutes, Diamentina FC's Horácio Cerezo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Manuel Munhoz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Diamentina FC reached it. Manuel Munhoz made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Ernesto Toledo sent off a good shot on target. Dudu de Castro took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manuel Munhoz. Manuel Munhoz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Henrik Folgerø hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo José Carioca in the 21st minute of play forced Paraná Clube's goalkeeper Manuel Munhoz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Paraná Clube's Henrik Folgerø got a free kick in the 21st minute. With a little luck, Paraná Clube's Manuel Munhoz got control of the ball when Ernesto Toledo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Oscar Vides took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dieguinho de Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulo José Carioca was the one to do the kick off. Leonel Goiano was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 55 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 55th minute of the game. One of Paraná Clube:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Diamentina FC:s goal. Manuel Munhoz had in the 58thth minute some difficulties stopping Horácio Cerezo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a long run with the ball, Horácio Cerezo did a trick in the 58th minute in front of Paraná Clube's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 3-0. An impressive performance by Diamentina FC's Horácio Cerezo! In the 62nd minute Ernesto Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Munhoz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel Munhoz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo José Carioca in the 65th minute of play. Ernesto Toledo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 99th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There was no doubt that Diamentina FC were the better team. Diamentina FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
