When Jean Berger came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the RapidZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jean Berger couldn't finish the play. Celsinho Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kaká Couto hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Celsinho Macedo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stellan Bergqvist having to make a save. 17 minutes into the match, RapidZ's goal looked a bit too open when Celsinho Macedo came free, but Stellan Bergqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in RapidZ's zone, Celsinho Macedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stellan Bergqvist came out of the goal and Celsinho Macedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Allan Costa's late challenge caught a RapidZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Allan Costa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 25th match minute, Goiás Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Allan Costa to maneuver through the defense. After 26 played minutes, RapidZ's Aílton Breckenfeld shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Christiano Marques came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in RapidZ reached it. With a little luck, RapidZ's Stellan Bergqvist got control of the ball when Basílio Perez tried to sneak it across the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Benê Hoffmann had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christiano Marques. Goiás Esporte Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benê Hoffmann was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basílio Perez in the 40th minute of play forced RapidZ's goalkeeper Stellan Bergqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jean Berger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 44 minutes into the match, Benê Hoffmann had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christiano Marques. Goiás Esporte Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benê Hoffmann was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jean Berger to make the kick off. Stellan Bergqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celsinho Macedo in the 53rd minute of play. Jean Berger charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jean Berger the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Celsinho Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 59 minutes, Kaká Couto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RapidZ and the Goiás Esporte Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, RapidZ's Kaká Couto got a free kick in the 60th minute. Eurico Breckenfeld struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Christiano Marques didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RapidZ. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jean Berger in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christiano Marques prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Goiás Esporte Clube's Arthur Aguiar suffered a sore thigh after 72 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Benê Hoffmann kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 79th minute Jean Berger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christiano Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute of the game Nicolas Cosme made a throw-in which Basílio Perez played forward. Kaká Couto hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. 97 minutes into the game, Nicolas Cosme was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Goiás Esporte Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RapidZ the free kick. The supporters of RapidZ booed when Goiás Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Cosme didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jean Berger missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 98 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Christiano Marques right hand side. When the final whistle went the supporters of RapidZ were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Goiás Esporte Clube side.
