Paulo José Carioca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Edvaldo Madureira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 5 minutes into the match, Ezequiel Alves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edvaldo Madureira. Badajos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ezequiel Alves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronaldão Cabral got free with Oscar Vides in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Diamentina FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Lino Pirani hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Ronaldão Cabral put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Oscar Vides. Geovani Tinoco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Vides having to interfere. Alessandro Duarte kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Edvaldo Madureira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo José Carioca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the match, Ezequiel Alves notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Badajos's Edvaldo Madureira. Edvaldo Madureira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Oscar Vides was out of position in the 31 minute of play, and Ronaldão Cabral capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ronaldão Cabral really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldão Cabral in the 34th minute of play forced Diamentina FC's goalkeeper Oscar Vides to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lino Pirani hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Ernesto Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Diamentina FC's Oscar Vides played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldão Cabral in the 42nd minute of play. Ronaldão Cabral spun around in front of the goal 42 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Diamentina FC's goal. Edvaldo Madureira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo José Carioca in the 44th minute of play. Oscar Vides showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldão Cabral in the 45th minute of the match. Flavinho da Silva charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Flavinho da Silva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 47th minute, Flavinho da Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulo José Carioca was the one to do the kick off. Oscar Vides stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronaldão Cabral's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Vitinho Travassos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Badajos's supporters rose to their feet, but Vitinho Travassos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oscar Vides breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Ronaldão Cabral put it in 4-2 from a short distance just to the right of Oscar Vides. In the 63rdth minute of the game Ronaldão Cabral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Diamentina FC's Oscar Vides was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ronaldão Cabral in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oscar Vides prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ronaldão Cabral during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Badajos getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Ronaldão Cabral hit a great ball. After 72 played minutes Diamentina FC got a freekick which was hit by Lino Pirani. After a rather tough play, Diamentina FC's Ezequiel Alves got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 82nd minute, Horácio Medeiros left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Badajos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-2. When Badajos's Vitinho Travassos in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Badajos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Diamentina FC the free kick. In the 89th minute, Benedito Hoffmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oscar Vides showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vitinho Travassos in the 97th minute of the match. Badajos's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
