Spectators: 7518 (Terracing: 5639, Seating: 1729, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Geovânio Pereira got the match started through his kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Geovânio Pereira in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ismael de Barros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luciano Cerezo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manuel Loureiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luciano Cerezo, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute Luciano Cerezo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Loureiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Corinthians's goal looked a bit too open when Geovânio Pereira came free, but Ismael de Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ismael de Barros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jano da Costa in the 15th minute. A collision led to Corinthians getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Jefferson Bastos hit a great ball. In the 20th minute, one of Corinthians:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Corinthians. After a defensive mix-up in Jampa Boys's zone, Basílio Gaspar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Loureiro came out of the goal and Basílio Gaspar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Durval Miranda blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Manuel Loureiro having to make a save. In the 29th minute Juan Fonseca suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. Basílio Gaspar's late challenge caught a Jampa Boys's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Basílio Gaspar helped the player get up and apologised. After 31 played minutes Corinthians got a freekick which was hit by Basílio Gaspar. If Danilo Moreno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Adelino Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corinthians's supporters rose to their feet, but Adelino Andrade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Loureiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Corinthians's Durval Miranda got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ismael de Barros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Danilo Moreno in the 44th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Durval Miranda to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Jampa Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Durval Miranda came free, but Manuel Loureiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Corinthians's Ismael de Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jano da Costa in the 57th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adelino Andrade in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manuel Loureiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Basílio Gaspar came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Corinthians fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basílio Gaspar couldn't finish the play. In the 61st minute, Danilo Moreno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Basílio Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute, Adelino Andrade reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Manuel Loureiro. The goal made the score 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Adelino Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corinthians's supporters rose to their feet, but Adelino Andrade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 72ndth minute of the game Adelino Andrade who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jampa Boys's Manuel Loureiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Durval Miranda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Manuel Loureiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute Zézinho Salgado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael de Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adelino Andrade recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danilo Moreno in the 84th minute of play forced Corinthians's goalkeeper Ismael de Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel Loureiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Durval Miranda in the 85th minute of play. Adelino Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute, Adelino Andrade ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manuel Loureiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4.
