The supporters of Brasília FC booed when FLAMANIA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albertinho Bezerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brasília FC's Gil Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gil Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Enéas Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Claudinho Sanches tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gil Azevedo in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claudinho Sanches saved FLAMANIA FC from getting behind. In a very dangerous position, a player in FLAMANIA FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! Claudinho Sanches had in the 29thth minute some difficulties stopping Sérgio Nunes's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 29 minutes of play, Brasília FC's Sérgio Nunes made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claudinho Sanches was left in no man's land by his defense there! Angelo Donatello kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Gil Azevedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claudinho Sanches read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. In the 36th minute Wanderson Terra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinho Sanches saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edinho Aparecido stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Brasília FC's Wanderson Terra got a free kick in the 51st minute. Wanderson Terra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Claudinho Sanches tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Edinho Aparecido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gil Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Felipe Bertassi hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. The Brasília FC fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when Brasília FC's Gil Azevedo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With his leg Claudinho Sanches managed to avoid a goal in the 81stth minute, when Brasília FC's Gil Azevedo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Brasília FC's Murillo Nogueira got a free kick in the 86th minute. Artur Almeida took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 87th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rui Barbosa. Brasília FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Angelo Donatello kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. When the match was over Brasília FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FLAMANIA FC throughout the match.
