The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Josué de Queirós stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kauã Alcântara charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee ignored Gotham City F.C.'s protests and gave Severino Madureira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 66th match minute, Gotham City F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Madureira to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 67 minutes, Josué de Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mangarataia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Josué de Queirós was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Olavo Garcia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Mangarataia fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Gotham City F.C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
