Rubens Travassos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ruy de Sena showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. Rubens Travassos was out of position in the 16 minute of play, and Ruy de Sena capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ruy de Sena really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. The supporters of FLAMANIA FC booed when Rap é o Som was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antônio Motta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Felipe Bertassi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Rubens Travassos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ruy de Sena was the one to do the kick off. Rubens Travassos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kauã Quintal in the 83rd minute of play forced FLAMANIA FC's goalkeeper Claudinho Sanches to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Edinho Aparecido had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rubens Travassos. Rap é o Som's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edinho Aparecido was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. After a rather tough play, Rap é o Som's Adhemar Lopez got a free kick in the 89th minute. Rubens Travassos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edinho Aparecido's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Rubens Travassos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruy de Sena in the 93rd minute of the match. 95 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rap é o Som's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Artur Almeida was slow to take the kick. During this time FLAMANIA FC's players had a chance to rest.
