Cachoeiro-ES's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aníbal Moreno was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 20 minutes into the match, Cachoeiro-ES's Osvaldo Ortiz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emerson Severo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the Malvadeza Mode ON defense, Wellington Hermes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emerson Severo. The Malvadeza Mode ON fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emerson Severo should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wellington Hermes got free with Emerson Severo in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wellington Hermes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Emerson Severo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Cachoeiro-ES's goal looked a bit too open when Aníbal Moreno came free, but Lauro de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The wind increased when Aníbal Moreno made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 60 minutes, Joaquim Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malvadeza Mode ON's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquim Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 65 played minutes Cachoeiro-ES got a freekick which was hit by Amauri Vides. Aníbal Moreno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lauro de Senna having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Aníbal Negri left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cachoeiro-ES fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 2-2 became the score in the 77th minute when Aníbal Moreno elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Lauro de Senna made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Joaquim Seco sent off a good shot on target. Cachoeiro-ES's Lauro de Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aníbal Moreno in the 88th minute of play. Joaquim Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
