Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Aírton da Costa made the kick off which started today's match. Lauro de Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aírton da Costa in the 3rd minute of play. In the 11th minute, Breno Tinoco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcelo Pereira charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcelo Pereira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lauro de Senna didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcelo Pereira went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Cachoeiro-ES's Lauro de Senna got control of the ball when Marcelo Pereira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wellington Hermes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Berger having to interfere. In the 29th match minute, Cachoeiro-ES was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldo Donato to maneuver through the defense. After 30 played minutes, Recife Pe's Ademar Prado shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lauro de Senna came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Recife Pe reached it. When João das Neves fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cachoeiro-ES's protests and gave João das Neves a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Cachoeiro-ES getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. João das Neves hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cachoeiro-ES's goalkeeper Lauro de Senna, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Breno Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hílton Trevisan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Lauro de Senna made a huge save. In the 43rd match minute, Recife Pe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ademar Prado to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wellington Hermes to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Cachoeiro-ES getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. João das Neves hit a great ball. Lauro de Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ademar Prado in the 56th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hílton Trevisan in the 57th minute of play forced Cachoeiro-ES's goalkeeper Lauro de Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes into the game, Breno Tinoco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Lauro de Senna was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lauro de Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aírton da Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Pereira in the 70th minute of play forced Cachoeiro-ES's goalkeeper Lauro de Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lauro de Senna came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Recife Pe's Marcelo Pereira. But to his dismay, Marcelo Pereira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. A throw-in in the 76th minute of the game was made by Ademar Prado with José Carlos Pontes as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Marcelo Pereira was shown his second yellow card after 77 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 78 played minutes Recife Pe got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Pereira. Aníbal Negri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Recife Pe booed when Cachoeiro-ES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldo Donato didn't get a good kick on the ball. José Carlos Pontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Lauro de Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 88 minutes, Aírton da Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Recife Pe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aírton da Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aírton da Costa in the 92nd minute of play forced Cachoeiro-ES's goalkeeper Lauro de Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hílton Trevisan scored 5-0 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lauro de Senna, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Recife Pe had played much better football throughout.
