Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) Emerson Severo came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Catipora's Isaltino Martins. But to his dismay, Isaltino Martins quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. If Isaltino Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute, Aníbal Moreno made a precise shot to the right of Túlio Capixaba. Catipora's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Isaltino Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Emerson Severo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudinei Figueiredo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 27th match minute, Malvadeza Mode ON was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Válter Coelho to maneuver through the defense. Túlio Capixaba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Seco in the 29th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Catipora's Emerson Severo threw himself towards the right post 30 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Breno Vieira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Álvaro Vale charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Álvaro Vale the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Álvaro Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Isaltino Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Catipora's Túlio Capixaba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aníbal Moreno in the 35th minute of play. Túlio Capixaba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Álvaro Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Túlio Capixaba didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joaquim Seco went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. After 43 minutes, Ivo Chaves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Catipora and the Malvadeza Mode ON players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 43rd match minute, Catipora was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivo Chaves to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Emerson Severo managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when Catipora's Pedro Luís da Fonseca fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aníbal Moreno to make the kick off. Emerson Severo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaltino Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Breno Vieira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Emerson Severo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 60 played minutes Catipora got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Luís da Fonseca. Álvaro Vale was shown his second yellow card after 61 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Álvaro Vale hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Pedro Luís da Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 64th match minute, Catipora was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Breno Vieira to maneuver through the defense. Catipora's Isaltino Martins got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Breno Vieira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catipora's supporters rose to their feet, but Breno Vieira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emerson Severo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 70 minutes into the match, Catipora's goalkeeper Túlio Capixaba had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joaquim Seco. Breno Vieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emerson Severo having to interfere. When Pedro Luís da Fonseca came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Catipora fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Luís da Fonseca couldn't finish the play. After having played for 79 minutes, Isaltino Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Catipora's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isaltino Martins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Isaltino Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 85 minutes Malvadeza Mode ON's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Breno Vieira who took care of the corner kick. Joaquim Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Túlio Capixaba made a huge save. 91 minutes into the match, Catipora's goalkeeper Túlio Capixaba had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joaquim Seco. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Luís da Fonseca in the 96th minute of play forced Malvadeza Mode ON's goalkeeper Emerson Severo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Catipora lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
