The audience thought a goal was coming when Clóvis Baiano got free with Agostinho Macedo in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Agostinho Macedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erasmo Palmeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 8 minutes into the game, when Carlos Alberto Rossi put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 7th minute of the game. One of Itoby:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mojutapera:s goal. The referee gave Mojutapera a penalty, 10 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Juninho Toledo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Itoby's Dino Pereira. 0-1. After having played for 13 minutes, Caetano Furlan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mojutapera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caetano Furlan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Richard dos Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Agostinho Macedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulão Vaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caetano Furlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dino Pereira having to interfere. If Paulão Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Itoby's Dino Pereira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juninho Toledo in the 29th minute of play. Clóvis Baiano kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Caetano Furlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dino Pereira having to interfere. Agostinho Macedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Clóvis Baiano in the 42nd minute. Dino Pereira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diguinho Branco in the 44th minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Doni Cearense notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Itoby's Dino Pereira. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Caetano Furlan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st minute, Juninho Toledo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mojutapera fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Caetano Furlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dino Pereira having to interfere. The Mojutapera fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Mojutapera had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
