After a defensive mix-up in Rapid SA's zone, Neymar Brasil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reynaldo Souza came out of the goal and Neymar Brasil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vlajko Marotić took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anselmo Lima. Anselmo Lima dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Anselmo Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vlajko Marotić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Rapid SA booed when Lobo Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredão Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Rapid SA's Rômulo Carvalho in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vlajko Marotić in the 34th minute of play forced Lobo Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Anselmo Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfredão Toledo struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Reynaldo Souza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lobo Futebol Clube. Lobo Futebol Clube's Anselmo Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vlajko Marotić in the 40th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rômulo Carvalho in the 42nd minute of play forced Lobo Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Anselmo Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rapid SA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Víktor Barros in the 43rd minute. Rapid SA's Víktor Barros was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Anselmo Lima in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vlajko Marotić got free with Anselmo Lima in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 89 minutes into the game, Eliézer de Senna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Anselmo Lima was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 93 minutes into the match, Vlajko Marotić notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of Lobo Futebol Clube's Anselmo Lima. Anselmo Lima was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rapid SA's Alan Magalhães was substituted for Emiliano Distiratsu.
