Rony Ferraz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hortêncio Catarinense in the 16th minute of the match. When Adhemar Azevedo fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ki-golaço's protests and gave Adhemar Azevedo a yellow card for diving instead. If Hortêncio Catarinense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hortêncio Catarinense in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rony Ferraz saved Ki-golaço from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The wind increased when Hortêncio Catarinense made the kick off in the second half. If Hortêncio Catarinense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albertinho Tasso kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. If Kiko Xavier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Basu EC's Fabrício Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magno Secco in the 88th minute of play. Jerônimo Camargo charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jerônimo Camargo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With a little luck, Ki-golaço's Rony Ferraz got control of the ball when Hortêncio Catarinense tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Ki-golaço supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Basu EC's performance. The match ended with a win for Basu EC.
