Hortêncio Catarinense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Dida Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 24 minutes, Joaquim Araújo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. THE STRONGEST ORANGE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquim Araújo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Basu EC booed when THE STRONGEST ORANGE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jairo Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. 31 minutes in the game Álvaro Pitta did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Joaquim Araújo. Fabrício Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathias Cabral, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 36th match minute, Basu EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Guilherme Arruda to maneuver through the defense. Edmundo Leão took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fabrício Barros. Basu EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dida Freitas was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Amadeu Dante capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Amadeu Dante really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hortêncio Catarinense got free with Dida Freitas in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Amadeu Dante came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Basu EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amadeu Dante couldn't finish the play. Hortêncio Catarinense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Dida Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Basu EC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Fernando Maranhense hit a great ball. When Jairo Almeida fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored THE STRONGEST ORANGE's protests and gave Jairo Almeida a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Basu EC booed when THE STRONGEST ORANGE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmundo Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Hortêncio Catarinense's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dida Freitas was relentless in the 84th minute of the game.
