The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luís Fábio Veloso to strike the kick off in the second half. Roberto Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidnei Faria in the 57th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Maicon de Amorim's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roberto Vale was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. If Maicon de Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maicon de Amorim in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roberto Vale prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
