In the 42ndth minute of the game Pedrão Coelho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maia FC's Fábio Corrêa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wilton Rocha's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 44thth minute, Duarte de Barros skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After the first half Escorpios F. C. were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

C.'s Juninho das Neves was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fábio Corrêa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 84 minutes into the game, Escorpios F. C.'s Pedrão Coelho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fábio Corrêa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 87thth minute of the game Pedrão Coelho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maia FC's Fábio Corrêa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 94th minute Wilton Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duarte de Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Escorpios F. C. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Maia FC throughout the match.
