After some careless play in the FC fura defense, Wilton Rocha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roberto Vale. The FC fura fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roberto Vale should have stopped the shot. 20 minutes into the match, Maia FC's goalkeeper Fábio Corrêa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Júlio Travassos. A collision led to Maia FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Raúl Furtado hit a great ball. Maia FC's Fábio Corrêa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fábio Veloso in the 29th minute of play. Marcos Vasconcelos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Roberto Vale. FC fura's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luís Fábio Veloso was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Wilton Rocha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roberto Vale was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Maia FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
