C. booed when SWORD ART was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ezequiel Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Duarte de Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliver Bierhoff, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes into the match, SWORD ART's goal looked a bit too open when Bo-Erik Lidberg came free, but Alexsandro Maciel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zé Carlos Fernandez was extremely unlucky when he, in the 13th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 15th minute, Escorpios F. C.'s Bo-Erik Lidberg ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alexsandro Maciel. Alexsandro Maciel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The audience was convinced that Pedrão Coelho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alexsandro Maciel was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Bo-Erik Lidberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 27 minutes of play, Escorpios F. C.'s André Sarmento made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alexsandro Maciel was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 30 played minutes Escorpios F. C. got a freekick which was hit by André Sarmento. Gilberto Matos struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Duarte de Barros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SWORD ART. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedrão Coelho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedrão Coelho in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexsandro Maciel saved SWORD ART from getting behind. Alexsandro Maciel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Carlos Fernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. After 64 minutes of play, Escorpios F. C.'s Zé Carlos Fernandez made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alexsandro Maciel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alexsandro Maciel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedrão Coelho's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Pedrão Coelho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Bo-Erik Lidberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Escorpios F. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Bo-Erik Lidberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexsandro Maciel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedrão Coelho might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alexsandro Maciel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedrão Coelho ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 80th minute, Ezequiel Amorim got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zé Carlos Fernandez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Alexsandro Maciel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Márcio Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juninho das Neves during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Escorpios F. C. getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Juninho das Neves hit a great ball. Enio de Godoi struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Escorpios F. C. had played much better football throughout.
