Alexsandro Maciel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 8 minutes into the match, SWORD ART's goal looked a bit too open when Dinei Tinoco came free, but Alexsandro Maciel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dinei Tinoco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexsandro Maciel having to interfere. Alexsandro Maciel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerônimo Romero in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th match minute, SWORD ART was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver Bierhoff to maneuver through the defense. Alexsandro Maciel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dinei Tinoco in the 20th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerônimo Romero in the 22nd minute of play forced SWORD ART's goalkeeper Alexsandro Maciel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Mauriti booed when SWORD ART was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 25 minutes into the match, SWORD ART's goal looked a bit too open when Jerônimo Romero came free, but Alexsandro Maciel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jerônimo Romero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th match minute, SWORD ART was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver Bierhoff to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jerônimo Romero in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexsandro Maciel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dinei Tinoco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alexsandro Maciel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jerônimo Romero's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Clóvis de Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Clóvis de Senna hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Dinei Tinoco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Alexsandro Maciel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dinei Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clóvis de Senna hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in SWORD ART's zone, Jerônimo Romero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexsandro Maciel came out of the goal and Jerônimo Romero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexsandro Maciel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerônimo Romero in the 77th minute of play. After 78 minutes of play, Mauriti's Dinei Tinoco made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alexsandro Maciel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dinei Tinoco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Alexsandro Maciel made a huge save. Dinei Tinoco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Alexsandro Maciel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexsandro Maciel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerônimo Romero in the 94th minute of play. Dinei Tinoco struck a weak shot in the 99th minute. Alexsandro Maciel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mauriti. The Mauriti players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
