A collision led to Ferraz getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Rafael Antunes hit a great ball. When Cauã Netto came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Better Call Saul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cauã Netto couldn't finish the play. Tião Veloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Alberto Azevedo in the 30th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Ferraz's Rafael Antunes got a free kick in the 34th minute. Carlos Alberto Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ferraz's goalkeeper Tião Veloso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 40th match minute, Ferraz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dário Branco to maneuver through the defense. After 41 played minutes, Better Call Saul's Renato Linhares shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tião Veloso came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Better Call Saul reached it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cauã Netto was the one to do the kick off. Flávio Capixaba kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Flávio Capixaba struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. José Pedro Neto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ferraz. José Pedro Neto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adilson Nascimento in the 69th minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Ferraz's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Silva came free, but Tião Veloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dário Branco's late challenge caught a Better Call Saul's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dário Branco helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ferraz's Dário Branco got a free kick in the 74th minute. Samuel Cearense might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tião Veloso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Samuel Cearense ran back to his position shaking his head. After 78 minutes of play, Ferraz's Chiquinho Berger made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Pedro Neto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Carlos Alberto Azevedo took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tião Veloso. Tião Veloso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Dário Branco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Pedro Neto having to make a save. Renato Linhares's late challenge caught a Ferraz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Renato Linhares helped the player get up and apologised. In the 92nd minute, Renato Linhares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ferraz's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
