The crowd rose to their feet as Jaguaré FC's Eurico Trevisan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gilberto Azevedo. That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Macedonia's Leonardo Leite got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute Eurico Trevisan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 12 in the game by Eurico Trevisan from a close distance when the talented Gilberto Azevedo managed to make a qualified save. Macedonia's players were relieved. After 23 played minutes Macedonia got a freekick which was hit by Edu Corrêa. When Eurico Trevisan came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Jaguaré FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eurico Trevisan couldn't finish the play. 36 minutes into the match, Macedonia's goalkeeper Gilberto Azevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Giovani Nascimento. After a defensive mix-up in Macedonia's zone, Eurico Trevisan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Azevedo came out of the goal and Eurico Trevisan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. José Maria Borges kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Gilberto Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eurico Trevisan in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leonardo Leite to strike the kick off in the second half. Edu Corrêa made in the 53rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Jaguaré FC's Lenílson Vargas. Giovani Nascimento might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilberto Azevedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Giovani Nascimento ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Macedonia's José Maria Borges got a free kick in the 69th minute. Edu Corrêa kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Gilberto Azevedo came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Jaguaré FC's Eurico Trevisan. But to his dismay, Eurico Trevisan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. Edu Corrêa got a throw-in 80 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Marcel Gaspar. In the 83rd minute Giovani Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th match minute, Macedonia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edu Corrêa to maneuver through the defense. Gilberto Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eurico Trevisan in the 86th minute of the match. Leonardo Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Jaguaré FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Macedonia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
