Dadá Veloso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eurico Trevisan in the 20th minute. 22 minutes in the game André Luiz Goiano did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Davi de Alcântara. Giovani Nascimento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dadá Veloso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. After 25 minutes, Zé Carlos de Senna mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jaguaré FC and the Orgulho do RN players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 26th minute, André Luiz Goiano sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Jaguaré FC's Kjell-Arne Tillman didn't even have to move. After 31 minutes of play, Jaguaré FC's Eurico Trevisan made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dadá Veloso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eurico Trevisan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eurico Trevisan scored 2-0 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dadá Veloso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 41st minute, Eurico Trevisan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adrianinho Meirelles to make the kick off. Kauã Carioca kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Duarte Matorin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Dadá Veloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giovani Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 62 minutes into the game, Giovani Nascimento cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Dadá Veloso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kauã Carioca kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. André Luiz Goiano's shot from long distance in the 68th minute was not bad at all, but Jaguaré FC's Kjell-Arne Tillman knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. In the 72nd match minute, Jaguaré FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kauã Carioca to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Jaguaré FC booed when Orgulho do RN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Luiz Goiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute Eurico Trevisan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dadá Veloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When André Luiz Goiano fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Orgulho do RN's protests and gave André Luiz Goiano a yellow card for diving instead. André Luiz Goiano hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. When Giovani Nascimento came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Jaguaré FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giovani Nascimento couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Eurico Trevisan put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Dadá Veloso. Eurico Trevisan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Orgulho do RN's André Luiz Goiano got a free kick in the 90th minute. 97 minutes into the match, Eurico Trevisan notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Orgulho do RN's Dadá Veloso. Dadá Veloso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There was no doubt that Jaguaré FC were the better team. Jaguaré FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
