After having played for 11 minutes, Umberto Carneiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galaxy Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Umberto Carneiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcos Souto to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Alberto Ramos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galaxy Team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mirari AD the free kick. Ulisses Cavalcante's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Benê Vale firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armandinho Sá in the 57th minute of play forced Mirari AD's goalkeeper Cícero Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hamílton Munhoz charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Umberto Carneiro couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Egídio Castro during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Egídio Castro hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match.
