Spectators: 7472 (Terracing: 5605, Seating: 1718, VIP seats: 149) SÓCANELA's Dedê Pinho started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ivo Félix scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabinho Terra, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 7thth minute of the game Samuel Mello who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CELESTE's Fabinho Terra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in CELESTE's zone, Samuel Mello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabinho Terra came out of the goal and Samuel Mello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fabinho Terra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dedê Pinho in the 9th minute of play. Fabinho Terra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dedê Pinho in the 20th minute of the match. Fabinho Terra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Mello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Samuel Mello scored 0-2 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabinho Terra, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fabinho Terra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dedê Pinho in the 29th minute of the match. SÓCANELA's Rafael Mota proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save SÓCANELA from getting a goal against them. Fabinho Terra came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by SÓCANELA's Samuel Mello. But to his dismay, Samuel Mello quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After the first half SÓCANELA were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dragomir Borovinov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Isaltino Pombal notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of SÓCANELA's Rafael Mota. Rafael Mota was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. CELESTE's defense didn't have a chance, in the 57th minute, when Dedê Pinho scored to the left of an out of position Fabinho Terra, making the score, 1-4. After a rather tough play, SÓCANELA's Ivo Félix got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 63rd minute, Dedê Pinho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SÓCANELA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. CELESTE's Fabinho Terra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save CELESTE from getting a goal against them. 72 minutes into the game, SÓCANELA's Dedê Pinho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabinho Terra made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. After 77 played minutes CELESTE got a freekick which was hit by Rubinho Berger. Fabinho Terra came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by SÓCANELA's Dedê Pinho. But to his dismay, Dedê Pinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-7. Samuel Mello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabinho Terra having to interfere. Samuel Mello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Fabinho Terra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dedê Pinho took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabinho Terra. Fabinho Terra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-8. CELESTE's Fabinho Terra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save CELESTE from getting a goal against them. In the 91st minute, SÓCANELA's Germano Paraibano dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-9. Fabinho Terra came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by SÓCANELA's Dedê Pinho. But to his dismay, Dedê Pinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-10. When the final whistle sounded SÓCANELA left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than CELESTE.
