Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Leandro Mota took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the match, Orgulho do RN's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Mota came free, but Dadá Veloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Válter Pereira kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Dadá Veloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Mota, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th match minute, Orgulho do RN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Eger to maneuver through the defense. Orgulho do RN's Dadá Veloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Válter Pereira in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Gurjao's goal looked a bit too open when Adrianinho Meirelles came free, but David Pitta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antônio Carlos Marinho got free with Dadá Veloso in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Válter Pereira hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. If Flávio Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Orgulho do RN's Flávio Aguiar got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Válter Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th minute, one of Orgulho do RN:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Orgulho do RN. When the match had been going on for 42 minutes, Gurjao's Antônio Carlos Marinho got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Dadá Veloso. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandro Mota in the 48th minute of play forced Orgulho do RN's goalkeeper Dadá Veloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Duarte Matorin was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Flávio Aguiar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Duarte Matorin came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Orgulho do RN fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Duarte Matorin couldn't finish the play. Flávio Aguiar received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. David Pitta came out and tried to block the shot, but Flávio Aguiar slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 57th minute. Válter Pereira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 64 minutes into the match, Duarte Matorin notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Gurjao's David Pitta. David Pitta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Flávio Aguiar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but David Pitta made a huge save. Antônio Carlos Marinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Dadá Veloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Válter Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antônio Carlos Marinho in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dadá Veloso saved Orgulho do RN from getting behind. Dadá Veloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Mota, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute, Válter Pereira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gurjao fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. Duarte Matorin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Pitta having to interfere. If Válter Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Davi de Alcântara hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. 95 minutes in the game, Duarte Matorin dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The Orgulho do RN players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Gurjao from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
