After a rather tough play, Galaxy Team's Alberto Ramos got a free kick in the 4th minute. Luiz Fabiano Jacinto, 5 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Galaxy Team's Benê Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lenílson Leal in the 8th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulo Trigo during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 11th minute, Paulo Trigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 13 minutes of play, PUMAS AC's Zeca Siqueira made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benê Vale was left in no man's land by his defense there! One of Galaxy Team:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of PUMAS AC:s goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

In the 95th minute Lenílson Leal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benê Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The PUMAS AC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Galaxy Team had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
