After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Leandro Salgado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ibirataia's supporters rose to their feet, but Leandro Salgado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emerson Sá breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leandro Salgado in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emerson Sá saved Sampa FC from getting behind. After 13 minutes, Dudu Tróia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ibirataia and the Sampa FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Sampa FC booed when Ibirataia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dudu Tróia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vicente Lara's late challenge caught a Ibirataia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vicente Lara helped the player get up and apologised. Vicente Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Ian Valladares got in the 16th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Emerson Sá handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. 17 minutes into the match, Leandro Salgado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emerson Sá. Sampa FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leandro Salgado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Ian Valladares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emerson Sá took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ian Valladares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Sampa FC defense, Leandro Salgado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emerson Sá. The Sampa FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emerson Sá should have stopped the shot. The Ibirataia fans' excitement grew in the 32nd match minute when Ibirataia's Ian Valladares looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandro Salgado in the 35th minute of play forced Sampa FC's goalkeeper Emerson Sá to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Samuel Mineiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emerson Sá having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Ian Valladares made a precise shot to the right of Emerson Sá. Sampa FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leandro Salgado to strike the kick off in the second half. Ibirataia's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
