The referee ignored Topazio EC's protests and gave Gilvan Veloso a yellow card for diving instead. In the 4th match minute, Topazio EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilvan Veloso to maneuver through the defense. Cristiano Favoretto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romário Reis in the 10th minute of the match. Cristiano Favoretto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beto Carioca, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind MSativo's goalkeeper Cristiano Favoretto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 14th match minute, MSativo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elias Rocha to maneuver through the defense. Beto Carioca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Cristiano Favoretto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Romário Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. MSativo's Cristiano Favoretto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romário Reis in the 40th minute of play. Cristiano Favoretto came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Topazio EC's Beto Carioca. But to his dismay, Beto Carioca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. If Beto Carioca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 48th minute, Beto Carioca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristiano Favoretto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Beto Carioca was the one to do the kick off. Cristiano Favoretto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beto Carioca in the 55th minute of the match. Amadeu da Silva hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Topazio EC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cristiano Hoffmann in the 58th minute. It was a well-played corner which Bernardinho Botelho managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The supporters of Topazio EC booed when MSativo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fabiano Ramos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristiano Favoretto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Romário Reis went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Cristiano Favoretto came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Topazio EC's Romário Reis. But to his dismay, Romário Reis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Romário Reis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Cristiano Favoretto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. MSativo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Beto Carioca scored to the left of an out of position Cristiano Favoretto, making the score, 0-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Romário Reis got free with Cristiano Favoretto in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Beto Carioca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristiano Favoretto was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. The MSativo fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Topazio EC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
